I often speak on how important it is to have a strong purpose in life.  Although there are many articles published on various studies, at the conclusion of this study on Alzheimer’s disease the research suggests a link between purpose in life and risk of cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease.

The study was funded by the US National Institute on Aging, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and by the Robert C. Borwell Endowment Fund. The study was published in the peer-reviewed  medical journal, Archives of General Psychiatry.
